This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The whiteboards allow me to see what they are working on and provide an easy place to show and share their work. When students use whiteboards, they engage all of their senses! Students who follow lessons and practice on their whiteboards coordinate hands, eyes, and ears while learning. Also, it is easy to fix mistakes, and they LOVE IT!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus.

You will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

I will use the other materials (notebooks, pencils, and erasers) to create a learning journal, where they can look back for references.
