My students need new puppets, hands-on measuring tools, and things to use in our sand table. They want center activities that allow them to move and Hokki stools to sit on.

My Students
My students are in kindergarten and are 5-6 years old. They are young and excited to learn at school. They come in every day ready to learn something new. They learn best through hands-on experiences. I want to provide my students with the best possible learning experience that I can. Our Title I school is located in a small town. It is a wonderful school to be a part of. Students come in and are welcomed by school members who want to help them succeed.
My Project
My students are five and six years old. They love to be able to move around while learning. They want to have more hands-on activities that allow them to move. We have daily math and reading centers. During center time, I try to have hands-on activities for them do. My students want to have more activities to do during this time. They also want to have Hokki Stools to sit on that will allow for them to wiggle while they are learning. The unique design of these stools will allow them to move and learn correct posture.
My students will use the sight-word steps, the get moving numbers and counting kit, hop on number line, the hundreds chart, and the measurement activities during centers.
These resources are made to have the students move around while they are learning, which is exactly what my kids want to be able to do.
During our school day, we also have developmental centers. These centers are designed to allow for students to move around and socialize with each other while learning. One of the centers we have is a sand table. However, we do not have anything for this center. My students really want to have new resources to play with in our sand table. They will be able to use the sift-and-find number and alphabet shells, the dino-dig excavation kit, the alphabet tubs, sea life creatures, and the handy scoopers at this center. My students will be able to hide and explore all these items in our sand table. They will be up moving around working together while they are at this center.
These hands-on resources will allow for all of my students to move around in our classroom throughout the day.
