I work at a fabulous school located in Norfolk, Va. It is a Title I school that offers students the ability to get ahead of their peers. My students are growing and learning just like I am as a teacher. We are a great team that is focused on what makes learning fun. My students are a gift each year and that's what makes school exciting! Giving the children all that they need is so important to their development. The resources that I'm asking for will further their education and experiences.
My Project
Our class needs playground equipment, center materials, and classroom materials. These materials will help my students stay active and replenish the items that are running low in the classroom.
During recess, the students can use the Medium Hop-Along Ball, Swivel-Handle Jump Ropes, big bubbles, Jumbo Chalk Bucket, Lakeshore Big Bubbles Kit, and Playground Ball.
There aren't many activities for our students to do while at recess and this equipment will allow them to interact and move.
During centers, the students can use the Block Play Home Builder. When students are in the block center, they often build houses. These additional blocks add "homey" touches like windows with curtains and painted doors. This activity will help expand their imaginative play.
During small groups, the students will use the crayons, reward treasure chest, Write & Wipe Alphabet Practice Cards, glue sticks, and wiggly eyes. Any time we can add some creative items to our small group work, students become more engaged.
