Active Kids Equals Smart, Happy Kids!

My students need some new balls and hoops for outdoor play along with a new tablet.

My Students

Pre-K for all is now something that most of the children in the community will be a part of. It is an important part of the learning process and provides solid stepping stones for success for the children in the future.

Our Pre-K classes have expanded to 20 students each which shows that our community is growing.

We as educators would like to provide a safe and clean environment for our students to be able to grow, play and learn.

My Project

Now that it is the middle of the year, our outdoor equipment has become old and worn. Some items have broken from being used so often.

My students are an active group and enjoy using the equipment outside.

They have shown an interest in throwing and catching balls with others. I am excited to teach them some other games using the balls I'm requesting. On a rainy day, we will not miss out on our exercise, because we will be able to use the scarves as we listen to the CD.

They will benefit from the use of this equipment and improve their gross motor and balance. Most of all, the students will learn about team work, playing with others and taking turns. They look forward to helping us bring the equipment outside and choose what they will use. They play well with others and the teachers. They are conscientious when it is time to go inside and look over the playground to make sure we do not leave any of the things behind. They place the items in the right bags and take turns carrying the bags in.

Lastly, I'm requesting another tablet, because I have two already and the students love to use them. There is always a student or two waiting to have a turn. This will give more students opportunity to use the tablets.
