Active Bodies, Focused Minds: Fitness Through Gaming

Help me give my students the opportunity to stay active, build teamwork, and develop lifelong healthy habits through fun and engaging fitness games with a Nintendo Switch!

My Project

Our classroom is full of curious, energetic 4th graders who love hands-on learning and creative challenges. Many of our students don’t have access to sports programs or gyms outside of school, so we do our best to bring those experiences into the classroom. They’re team players, quick learners, and most of all—they love to move!

As a 4th grade teacher, I know that movement is essential not just for physical health, but also for focus, social skills, and emotional well-being.

That’s why I’m excited to bring interactive fitness into our classroom using technology students already love!

With your generous support, we will purchase a Nintendo Switch console, Switch Sports, Just Dance, and sports attachments (like tennis rackets and leg straps) to create active learning stations during recess, and brain breaks.

Our students need more opportunities for structured movement, especially on days when we can't go outside.

Games like Switch Sports promote hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and friendly competition.

Just Dance provides a fun, high-energy workout that improves rhythm, memory, and confidence.

These resources will also support students with different learning styles and energy levels, giving every child a chance to succeed and shine—whether they're swinging a virtual tennis racket, dancing to a hit song, or playing soccer indoors!
