My Students
This fourth-grade classroom is full of talented and diverse students. They are aspiring artists, athletes, scientists, and even teachers! A daily dose of energy comes with these active learners as they leave their busy schedules at home and do their best to focus on the academics being taught to them.
In order to provide the best education possible for these eager young minds, we employ a variety of activities to keep their bodies and minds moving and thinking.
They love helping create and engage in activities while they enjoy their daily dose of learning. Questions are a welcome part of our routine as students dig deeper into the complex concepts they are being exposed to. To answer questions, we encourage peer responses to promote deeper levels of thinking. Keeping them engaged and actively learning is a daily challenge that we strive to achieve.
My Project
With today's growing rate of distracted learners, having a variety of seating that allows constant movement with minimal distraction to others is a must.
By using the wiggle cushions, wobble stools and feet bands, students that struggle to sit still will be able to make the continuous micro-movements necessary to satisfy their need for multi-sensory stimulation.
Whether sitting for a summative assessment or an oral presentation from a classmate, or many of the other reasons students have "seat-time" in the classroom, these wallet-friendly (and kid-friendly) resources are a sure win to keep students engaged in whatever is in front of them.
