My students are five and six year old kindergartners at a Title 1 public school in Philadelphia. Being a Title 1 school, most of the students live in poverty. For many of them, this is will be their first formal schooling experience.
I have also had the pleasure of being the ESOL friendly classroom teacher for the last 5 years.
This means that many of my children speak limited or no English at the beginning of the year. By providing a print rich environment, daily guided reading during Blended Learning and small group instruction, my students are sure to succeed!
My Project
Kindergarten is a time for exploring your creativity! By providing my students with a specific, organized area in the classroom to color, paint, and draw, we will see their imaginations soar!
The deluxe art table will allow the students to have all their materials at their fingertips!
The students will be able to keep crayons, markers, glue, scissors, paper, and more nearby to create pictures, cards, illustrations for their stories, and whatever else their eager minds can come up with! The six fabric bins will allow room for all sorts of additional art supplies! The paper refills will ensure that they can continue creating for many months to come!
