This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Too young to have a sedentary lifestyle, my students need to get up, get active, and get healthy!
In today's society, children are spending more and more time on video games and television.
We would like to get them outside, active, and healthy. Our goal is to make a lifelong change in their lives.
Our students receive 100% free lunches. Poverty is just one of the many challenges our students face on a daily basis. Regardless of the challenges they face, our students come to school each day with a smile on their faces, and eager to learn. They are inspired at school and sports is a primary motivator!
My students will use the sports equipment we requested to help them get active during their recess time and to support them in our after-school program. Our goal is to make the most of the students' daily recess and physical education time to get them active and healthy. We would like to have the equipment to keep them engaged with each other and active throughout their time outside.
