This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My third grade students are eager to continue to learn during remote learning. They are energetic and very curious about everything. They love to express themselves in writing, drawing, coloring, and painting. My students are discovering the world through books and now through technology.
They meet all challenges with a positive attitude and a belief that everything is possible.
My students are primarily English language learners and their primary language is Spanish. I teach in a low-socioeconomic community where resources are limited.
My Project
The Mobile Gross Motor Cart will make it easier and safer to organize and transport the physical education equipment from the classroom to the playground.
The Swing Ball Set, Hula Hoops, and Foxtail Softie will provide my students with many opportunities to develop their gross motor skills, muscular and hand-eye coordination, as well as rhythm.
The benefits of being physically active are many. Children need to exert their energy in order to be more attentive and productive in the classroom. I am hoping to provide my students with a love of leading a healthy and physically active lifestyle.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
