Acting Like Kids in the Drama Station

Help us to get in touch with our dramatic sides! I am a new kindergarten teacher who has been realizing as the year goes on that she never has quite enough materials to go around. This is the first year for our "full-day" kindergarten program to go district-wide. Our school is classified under semi-poverty.

My students have a very long morning of Kid Writing, Guided Reading, Shared Reading, and Math. When Discovery Time (structured play) rolls around, they are ready to be silly! My Dramatic Play Station is a classroom favorite. However, I have found that trying to go the easy way out (such as purchasing materials from the Dollar Store), means that they very easily break and are ruined.

I need more bright, colorful, and durable materials for our Dramatic Play Station! My students need one set of Indestructible Dishes, one set of Fruit and Vegetable Cut-Ups, one Ice-Cream Play Set, one set of Pipe Builders, and one Real-Working Cash Register. These resources will benefit my students because after a very busy morning, they are ready to play and be creative.

You will make it possible for my students to get in touch with their creative sides and work together in our Dramatic Play Station.
