Acrostic Artistic Seasonal Stimulation in Poetry Productivity

My Project

My students thrive in a world of immersing themselves in literacy combined with performing and visual arts. Throughout watching them interact and work with each other in the classroom, I have noticed they like to write and draw while creating their own sense of success in the ESL classroom.

This project will help them to fulfill two things: a quarterly project for acrostic poems with clay and/or visual drawing artifacts to accompany each season (Fall, spring, winter, and summer) per each school quarterly nine week period, and express themselves to me and each other so I can plan lessons that increase their participation, interests, and productivity.

I am confident that these materials will help bring these two important factors alive for my multilingual learners as they assimilate into the American culture while enhancing our classroom and school cultures in literacy acquisition and visual arts.
