This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During the present pandemic emergency, our schools will remain closed and children are learning from home. Our students feel nervous and anxious. Some of our students got sick or have family members dealing with the Covid-19. Also, some parents lost their jobs and even food has been hard to get. Imagine providing students with additional material to learn at home. Our students are struggling, our families too. Our school community needs our help more than ever.
I can't stop teaching, my students can't stop learning: let's unite our efforts to bring some hope and smiles during these difficult times.
Distance learning is necessary to keep developing the necessary skills students need to succeed in live. We need essential materials to make distance learning a success. So far I've been utilizing my phone to create a window to distance learning, a laptop is needed to create a better view, headphones to better communicate while teaching and a board to write perhaps. Time is precious, let's make sure our student's distance learning experience is unforgettable.
My Project
Our students deserve the best education, in person or during distance learning. Presently, computers have become indispensable and necessary. My new computer will allow me to plan and share activities with my students and families. Also, it will help me to have a comprehensible view while teaching and observing my students work and learn.
The new laptop will allow me to help students reach their academic potential from anywhere, that's my goal!
I will be able to offer students and families, all the time, access to the content and collaboration they need to enable true learning. I will be able to support students, keep track of students progress and personalize instructions. All these possibilities with a working computer, with my new window to distance learning.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
