This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
1. How will the specific items you’re requesting make a difference in their learning?
The requested items, like costumes, instruments, and props, will enhance the students’ learning experience.
Costumes: Traditional costumes help students connect with the culture and boost their confidence in performances.
Instruments: Instruments like maracas and drums teach students the rhythm of the dances, improving their timing and coordination.
Props: Props such as hats or shawls add creativity and make the dance more engaging, helping students express themselves better.
Educational Materials: Books and videos about Ballet Folklórico’s history help students understand the cultural significance, making their learning more meaningful.
2. What are your goals for this project?
Cultural Awareness: To teach students about the traditions and history behind Ballet Folklórico.
Skill Development: To improve their dance skills, such as rhythm, coordination, and footwork.
Confidence and Teamwork: To build confidence through performances and teamwork in practice.
Performance Opportunities: To give students a chance to showcase their skills in school or community events.
