Our 50 award-winning Gifted and Talented students are hard working and precocious learners. They are hungry to learn and expand their minds. They love technology, and incorporating music into their video projects. They have recently been awarded "Best In the County" in their recent projects.
Our 50 Gifted and Talented Students are the best and the brightest in the school.
They love to learn and be challenged. We proudly serve an approximately 30% military population and 30% of our students are highly disadvantaged. Our students are working on several research and video projects that require students to compose and perform their own original music. They love to incorporate music and technology into their work and it challenges their minds. Their latest project was the State-Wide KeikiCo Contest sponsored by American Savings Bank. Our students were awarded "Best In The County" for their winning Research and Video Pitches where they incorporated their original music compositions and performances. Our students have several more research and video projects. Our students could use an acoustic drum set to be able to experience live acoustic drums rather than electronic sounds into their compositions and performances. They would also learn to play this wonderful set.
My Project
Our students will be able to utilize the acoustic drum set and incorporate it into their upcoming research and video projects where they are required to compose and perform their own original music compositions. They have composed and performed their own original music compositions in their award-winning research and video projects. Our students have not had the pleasure of experiencing live, acoustic instruments in their past music compositions. Nothing can beat the sound, aesthetics, feel, and life-changing experience of composing for and playing live, acoustic instruments. The real acoustic drum set will provide a learning experience many or all of our students would never have experienced otherwise. Music education helps to facilitate learning in all areas of the academics. It fosters development in all domains of learning--cognitive, psychomotor, musical, emotional, social, language, mathematical/spatial, aesthetic, and more. We want the best for our students.
Donations to our class project will change the lives of our students for the better for many years to come.
It will enable them to be able to compose and perform music for their upcoming projects (and even live performances) using real, acoustic drum set and sounds. It will enable students to be able to learn and play this instrument. Students will experience learning, composing for, and performing on a real instrument. This will be a life-changing experience for our students. Thank you.
