My students need supplies. We are supplying every percussionist with their own mallet bag with snare sticks and mallets. Further, clarinetists need good reeds to make great sounds. Please help us with these accessories.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our middle school band program is 9 years old and continuing to build. We now have an established band program but require financial support to continue what we started. Our school is located in the heart of the Pleasantville community, 7 miles from downtown Houston. We are asking for help in continuing to offer a quality band program to this community, one “in tune” with successful band programs in surrounding school districts especially the programs in more affluent areas.
My Project
With recent floods, school funds are especially tight and accessories are running out. Good clarinet reeds are vital to producing a great sound. At this writing, we are completely out of beginner clarinet reeds. We don't teach drumming; we teach percussion. To best teach our young percussion students, they learn keyboards and proper stick technique. Mallets and sticks aren't cheap. We would like each student to have their own bag to take care of their own sticks and mallets. This will promote practice and responsibility. Characteristics they will take with them into adulthood. Your contribution can make a real difference.
