This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach visually impaired infants in their homes. My students are birth to three including blind, multiple impairments, sensory issues, and deaf and hard of hearing.
I will use the seating to support my student's postural skill development during activities such as music time, circle time, and tabletop activities.
My students are low income and parents cannot afford to purchase seating for their child. Blind/Visually Impaired/Hearing Impaired children should be sitting upright so that they can make the best use of their vision and to access sign language if needed.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
