Accessible Reading Materials

My Students

My classroom is filled with amazing students that are fun, loving, energetic five and six year olds. My Kindergartners face a variety of challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic in the community, at home, and in-person learning. I would like to be able to support their health and safety through this project.

All of my students are wonderful little learners who have varied educational, social and personal needs.

The students in my classroom represent many different cultures, languages, and ethnic groups, we work everyday to support each individual student in their journey. They need materials and supplies to help develop their decoding skills so they can become fluent readers. It will also develop responsibility and independence as they care for the materials.

My Project

My students have their own storage bin where they can store their independent reading books and other materials. They need a place where they can just go and get what they need for our reading block. Right now my students store their independent reading books on a shelf that is not easily accessible for some students.

The storage bin organizer will provide each of my students with a special place where they can store their reading materials independently, in an organized manner.

The storage bin organizer has wheels which makes it easy to move it around the classroom. My students will benefit from this storage bin organizer because it will be easier to store and access their reading materials.
