Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Graphic novels are always a hit with deaf learners. They are a great supplement paired with the original novels for full comprehension. Students who need additional image support will be able to follow along with their peers as we explore different worlds from a historical setting to a dystopian one.
Deaf students are able to explore these worlds in two languages, English and American Sign Language.
Paired with a comfy chair to sit and sign along to these stories, the teacher of the deaf or ASL interpreter will be able to engage the students as we discuss these novels.
