A lot of my students come from homes that were already struggling before covid-19 made it's debut. Covid has made teaching more difficult.
Over the past two years we have all had to learn to adapt to the new normal.
My students have really stepped up and given everything they have without complaining about the circumstances.
My Project
Since the rise of covid, students have been thrown into a back and forth in education. The tools in my project will help my students get organized and also allow them to gain more one on one access.
Many of my students have been forced to quarantine at home and sometimes do not have the home life that allows for optimal learning.
When they return to school, many of them are behind and must attend before and after school tutoring to get caught up on the work they have missed. Having a bigger desk where my students have access to sit and work one on one with me will help them to gain confidence and success as they catch up on what they have missed.
Having extra storage allows me to organize work for my students as they come and go due to covid quarantines. It has been very hard to keep up with the rotating door of students and being more organized will ensure they do not miss getting the work they need. Tabs will help them to make notes and keep up with what is going on at school. They will also allow me to mark things I send home to them.
When we are in class, the giant post-its will allow for group work that will get them up and get them engaged in the lesson. Lead and pencils will ensure that all of my students have the supplies they need when in my classroom. When students return from being quarantined or just from being absent, they sometimes need headphones to watch the lessons they missed.
