My Project
Teaching in rural Eastern Kentucky presents its very own challenges and victories. After finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the Covid-19 pandemic, on July 28, 2022, our area was stricken with devastating flooding. Many students within our school lost their homes and loved ones within just moments. Having access to a classroom iPad would bring new opportunities to help children. With an all-new, mostly digital curriculum, the iPad would enhance the classroom experience, especially with those that are struggling with reading. The iPad would allow me to individualize instruction to better meet the needs of these children to target specific learning goals. The iPad would be used daily in the classroom to access the online assignments and as a tool for myself, as the teacher, to implement the curriculum.
