My Project
Hi, I am a Social Worker at Ruskin High School in Kansas City, MO.
I support students and families with having access to resources of all kinds and making sure basic needs are met.
I am requesting clothing items, laundry and hygiene products and snacks to assist with meeting basic needs of the students while at school. These are all items I give out weekly, if not daily to my students and their families.
Last year my "Access to Basic Needs at School" project was funded and we went through every item to support our students and families.
Having access to basic needs while in school breaks barriers that have kept students from attending school in the past. Every student deserves basic hygiene items and access to clean clothing. I want to ensure the kids feel comfortable to show up to school every day.
Anything given to my "classroom" will be greatly appreciated.
