Help me give my students access to technology. so they will have access to online programs to practice necessary skills in all subjects, especially reading and math.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If my project is fully funded, students who live in a high poverty area and less fortunate than other students, will have a laptop to access technology in order to practice essential skills in reading and math.
Some of my students' families do not own laptops nor do they have internet at home.
School is their only place where they can practice those skills to maximize their learning. I will provide them with the opportunity to access their laptops daily so they can practice and succeed. Their standardized test is online and therefore, daily practice on their laptops, like other students in different schools, is essential for their success. If they practice daily online, this will make a big difference in their academic achievement and they will be able to compete fairly with other peers in the same grade.
I am taking the time to apply for this opportunity on their behalf because they are hard working, loving students who want to better their lives, they just need some support.
