This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a 7th-grade math teacher, I am constantly working to meet each student at their current skill level to help them grow. I have created Personalized Learning Videos to provide students with individualized, targeted skill instruction. Students need access to headphones and a laptop to use these videos!
A laptop and headphones, paired with a place to record notes and examples, will give students the tools they need to develop their skills by engaging with videos.
Suppose our class was in the middle of our probability unit. I would give a diagnostic exit slip to assess current student understanding. With this data, students will be assigned a specific video to develop a skill they need to further develop. This also allows me to differentiate, making sure I meet the needs of students who show mastery of the skills within the unit.
