This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My wonderful 5th graders who are excited to improve their math skills.
We are a very low income community where the students do not have access to computers or the Internet. The main place this happens is at the school. Despite all of the shortcomings in the town, the kids are wonderful and eager to learn.
The obstacle these kids face, despite being a school with a population made up of 100% free lunch students, they want to learn and better themselves. Without supplies, like a printer, this is impossible to accelerate their learning!
We desperately need a printer and replacement ink to continue to use the Accelerated Math program. Our school purchased this program for my students and now it cannot be used, because the six year old printer "died." The program demands that individual math assignments be printed for the students and we no longer are able to do this for them. My students are begging to stay after school again to do math, but we no longer have the resources to do this without a printer.
Your help with this request will allow my students to work on their math skills. As they are excited about this program, this can only help them in their future school years!
