I teach middle school science for an inner city school system. My students are eager and ready to learn, but as I'm sure you know, money is tight.
I teach for a very talented group of gifted and talented students who love to have variety in their learning opportunities!
Donors Choose has always come through for us with your help. My students have been begging me for and opportunity to dissect something. I have had experience in dissecting frogs, so I thought it would be an interesting for them to do it as well.
My Project
I would like a class set of dissecting tools and frogs for two of my eighth grade classes to gain some valuable biology experience. I never dissected an animal until just recently and it is an experience I would like to provide to my students. Many of them have a desire to seek careers in the science fields and a number of them in biology.
What an amazing experience to provide students who truly desire want the first hand experience of dissecting an animal to see the inner workings of how all the different systems and organs work and fit.
Please help us to provide such a project to students who want to learn it!
