This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students we provide therapy to have some sort of communication difficulty. The most severe may never speak but can still communicate with the technology available today
Students who use a speech-generating device have been restricted to tablets/iPads or expensive heavy devices until the apple watch came along which now allows the person to communicate effectively with a watch that can go anywhere, even swimming as long as the student has fine motor skills to operate the watch or use a stylus!
And now the student can also monitor health with the same device.
My Project
The student this project is written for uses an iPad with an app to communicate currently. The student needs to carry it everywhere even outside to communicate.
The Apple watch series 6 with GPS and cellular with the same app will allow the student to communicate from the wrist as well as monitor health all in one device!
Communication is the right of every person. Imagine having to take iPad biking, running, swimming, etc. This device can be worn even. While swimming!
Please help this student with independence on communication and monitoring health!
