This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so blessed to work with these students every day. They make getting up for school a huge excitement! My learners are hard workers and eager for more information. I want to give my students as many tools to learn from as possible!

My teaching career has had many ups and downs, but I finally feel like I have found my match.

I am at my second school in the last two years. I moved within district and got to see a whole new world. I am very blessed to be working with amazing support from administration. However budget is out of some people's control. I am rebuilding a music program in this school as they have not had a music teacher in 5 years.

My Project

If my project gets fully funded I will be able to follow a standardized curriculum for my students. Right now, I am using lessons I have created and have been borrowing copies for this curriculum from friends. I would like my own. I will be able to use all of the lessons in Music Ace and Piano Ace for my keyboard lab.

These materials are going to help rebuild my program and ignite positive music learning experiences.

The new techniques I would like to learn from GAMEPLAN is helping with cultural diversity and differentiated instruction in my lessons. With Music Ace, I hope to incorporate more technology into my lessons. These activities are hands-on and group work. This is going to build a positive community in my classroom. I can not wait to lesson plan using these materials.
