My Students

My students are eager learners just waiting for the right tools to help them succeed. It will be a whole new type of schooling when we return to the classroom, the new normal. My students will be nervous and apprehensive. I teach at a Title I school which means that more than 40% of the students are a part of a low-income household. This means many of my students will not have their own supplies to bring to school. This is a dynamic that impacts student learning and what makes my job of providing a positive learning environment for children more important.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students learning. My students learn best by hands-on experiences.The math manipulatives will help reinforce math facts and skills. The math toolkits are durable and will help each student keep their materials organized and secured.

The reading comprehension journals will help my students practice their literacy skills.

The journals will also be used during small group literacy instruction. The students will also be able to take these materials home to continue to practice and reinforce their math and literacy skills beyond the classroom.
