My Project
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. This includes students communicating with high-tech and robust systems on an iPad. Imagine adding iPads to the excitement of preschool. The extra large plastic bags are to keep our devices safe during messy play.
The command hooks will support students by providing access to their communication devices in the bathroom and on the playground.
The floating shelves will support students by providing access to their communication devices throughout the classroom while they are playing and participating in routines. The battery backups are critical to ensuring students have access to their communication devices throughout the school day. It is frustrating and dysregulating for students when their communication device batteries die. These backups will allow students to use their device while it is charging and not be tethered to an outlet.
The luggage tags allow staff to attach name tags to each device and encourage students to take ownership of their devices.
