This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach the most wonderful Kindergarten students EVER! Each morning I love seeing their smiling faces bouncing through the door. They are so excited to come to school every morning and are ready to soak up everything around them.
These babies come to school every day counting on consistency, encouragement, and love.
That is what I strive to give them every day considering any of my students don't come from much. They count on me to give them all the opportunities they deserve, which is why this grant is so important.
My Project
For most of my kids, this is their first year in any kind of structured learning environment. They have not yet had the chance to listen to and learn from books. This is why I am writing this grant to allow my students to have access to amazing read aloud stories.
These materials will open a new world of learning and adventure for these boys and girls.
With these books, I plan to share my love of reading with my kinders. Getting them to see the amazing qualities of books is a major goal of mine as a teacher. If we have access to these books, I plan to utilize these during our Kindergarten Read Aloud time each day to ensure each child meets their reading goals for the year. Allowing them access to such books is such a necessity, which is why I need your help in getting this project funded!
These kids deserve the best education and learning environment out there, and these books are the start to this. If this project gets funded, my sweet kindergarten students will have the opportunity to experience a plethora of read aloud stories they otherwise may not get to experience at home. Your support is much needed to ensure the very best, for the very best kids around!
