A Writers' Pen...So To Speak

My students need access to a laser jet printer.

I teach students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities and emotional behavior disorders at a Title I school.

All students do not access the curriculum in the same way. Many of my students require using word processing programs or other assistive technology devices to fulfill curriculum requirements for the writing process. They need to be able to print their final written pieces. If students cannot print hard copies, their writing means nothing to them. They see it as only that they did all of this work and have nothing to show for it.

Having access to a laser printer will allow students to print/publish their created writing pieces after drafting and editing the material. They will have access to and use the technology on a daily basis.

Your help will make it possible for my students to print their finalized writing pieces in a timely manner. Immediate gratification encourages them to continue forward. They love seeing their work presented in a "professional" manner -- it makes them feel worthy and important.
