My Project
So many memories are forgotten because they never live outside of their digital homes. In this world of Tilk Tok and YouTube, the art of saving tangible artifacts is lost. With this time capsule project, students will create an artistic vessel using various mediums both 3D and 2D. The contents of the box will include those items that represent this moment of time in their lives.
There will be small personal artifacts that will be included in the box that are meaningful to the student.
This will include items that showcase a student's culture, heritage and identity. Articles of current world events will also be included.
As a part of this project, students will also create artist trading cards to trade with each other and include in the box. This trade will give students the opportunity to own a creation of a friend as well as serve as a memento of their grade school community.
Students will be encouraged not to open the box for at least four years. The impact would be the sheer surprise of how they have grown and changed and what important events were happening during their middle school years.
