it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students' enthusiasm and curiosity! They come to class eager to learn and always bring a unique perspective to every lesson. Whether they're tackling a new book or asking questions about the world around them, their excitement is contagious. Most of my students are English learners, and their perseverance and determination to master a new language while embracing new ideas are truly inspiring. Each student is at a different point in their reading journey, and that’s what makes them so special. They inspire me every day with their creativity, determination, and joy for learning.
By providing a variety of texts at different levels and across different genres, I can meet each of my students where they are in their reading development.
For my English learners, these diverse resources are crucial in helping them build vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence in both language and literacy. From picture books for the emerging reader to chapter books that challenge their comprehension skills, these resources will offer each student the opportunity to grow at their own pace. Whether it's through engaging stories, exciting nonfiction topics, or poems that make them think and laugh, these books will help foster a love of reading, build confidence, and improve their skills. With these new resources, my students will be able to explore new worlds, enhance their vocabulary, and become lifelong readers.
