The "Under the Stage" Musical Theatre Class and Club started in the Spring of 2019 as an extracurricular club at Islands High School.
It quickly gathered enough popularity to add a class within the next year.
One of Georgia's state Musical Theatre Standards of Excellence is "Engage as a creative team in script analysis to plan and create technical elements of a theatre production, including sets, props, costumes, makeup, lighting, and sound."
