This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are continually growing, learning, and questioning everything around them. They are artists, thinkers, scientists, and problem solvers. They learn and grow from each other and help each other grow both academically and socially in the classroom.

Students help inspire each other to grow and reach their goals both in and out of the classroom.

They are our future and I want to give them a great start to the school year. Who wouldn't want to be part of a warm classroom with lots of hands-on fun?

My Project

Help my classroom engage in a workshop full of wonder and warmth. My students have a very early lunch and are in need of snacks in the late afternoon. The popcorn, pretzels, and fruit snacks will help cure the hunger and continue our learning. This will be a sure fire way to curb hunger with snack attacks.

All students should have equal opportunity in both academics, materials, and social emotional needs in order for learning to occur.

We will also use the construction paper, glue sticks, tape, and cards to create cards for our community. We are trying to reach out to nursing homes and hospitals to help cheer people up. The end of the year STEM project will be our tie dying kits and tee shirts. The bonus of the project is the tee shirts are a nice keepsake of 2nd grade!
