My Students
I teach preschool children in the Head Start program whose ages range from 3-5 years old. The Head Start program services low-income families. The students come from different cultural backgrounds as well. I provide a nurturing and caring environment for my students to learn and grow but always want them to have more.
My students are full of questions and love to find out more about their world.
They love working together. Their eagerness and curiosity to learn always amazes me.
My Project
Our class will be delighted in receiving a monthly subscription to the "My Big World with Clifford" Scholastic magazine. Clifford is a fun and loving character that all pre-schoolers relate to. This magazine is just what they need to nourish their growing minds. Each issue is fun, colorful, and provides monthly concepts. These Scholastic magazines will allow the children to explore literature in a different form other than books.
Help me give my students a different form of literature to support their learning in various areas such as science, math, and social/emotional development.
These magazines will also encourage communication between home and school. Students will be able to take the magazines home to share with their families. Overall, this can make the students become eager to learn and make connections with the world around them.
