My students need a classroom carpet to engage in multiple math learning activities.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Hatton's classroom raised $395

My Students
My students have grown up in North Tulsa, Oklahoma and will be entering the fourth grade this month!
I believe that my students will work hard to develop multiple aspects of themselves because, we got GRIT, we don't quit!
Students in my class show grit by work hard with task that are given because they want to complete it to the best of their ability. They believe that the things they are being taught in class are beneficial. They also use their personal future goals to motivate them to work hard on the task at hand because they see the connection between what they are doing in class and the things they want to achieve later in life.
My Project
We are in need of a classroom carpet. The floors in our classroom are tile. Sitting on the cold floor is uncomfortable and becomes another barrier when trying to keep students focused and engaged in the lesson. Although, we will do some lessons with students in their desk and accessing the whiteboard in class, having a carpet will help us in a variety of ways. Our Smart Board is not positioned with the whiteboard at the front of the class.
Therefore, another space for learning needs to be created to give my students access to their learning resources.
We will be able to do our morning circle on the rug to build classroom culture, we will be able to have personal work space when doing math activities on the Smart Board, we will also be able to do group work and turn and talks without having to maneuver desk and increase the noise level in the classroom. Please, help contribute to the comfortable learning environment I am trying to provide for my students.
