This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have been severely impacted personally and financially by COVID-19. In our Title I school, most of my students come from households where difficult choices must be made. Therefore, most of my students come to school without any school supplies.

Help me give my students notebooks, pencils, resources for math, science, social studies, and some motivational items to help them feel ready every day for school.

These things will have a huge impact on students' social, emotional and well-being because no one will have to "go without," or be unprepared. Even the motivational cards and pencils will go a long way toward helping students feel cared for and to help mitigate the effects COVID-19 had on their mental health. They want to work hard and just need basic materials to be ready for success.
