A Well-Prepared Environment During Distance Learning!

My Students

Our school is a Title 1 public Montessori and our classroom is a community of multi-age children (6 through 9 year-olds)—eager to learn and succeed.

Unfortunately, the current situation has made it challenging for most families to focus on learning. Given the support, my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students will grow up to be confident, enthusiastic, and self-directed learners and citizens, accountable to both themselves and their community. They will think critically, work collaboratively, act boldly and with integrity.

My Project

All children have a natural love for learning, in our classroom this love for learning is nurtured and each child develops the confidence to take on many challenges that life presents to them. Life has indeed presented plenty challenges to my sweet 6, 7, and 8 year old students. This PANDEMIC has added to the struggles my students and their families already face daily. YOUR help and kindhearted contribution will provide these children with resources and opportunities to focus just on learning, even if it is from a distance.

Research shows that a well-prepared environment supports the natural development of children.

When children are provided with resources and opportunities for optimal learning they can more easily master new skills. A prepared environment gives children the independence to choose and take ownership of their own learning.

This project will provide basic school supplies and manipulatives for students to take home and somewhat extend the classroom into their homes during distance/hybrid learning. Thus, creating the best version of a well-prepared environment in these circumstances.
