My Project
I teach special education students 1st - 3rd grade in an inclusive model. My students are amazing and ready to learn! This project will help them have an equipped and welcoming learning environment. We use my classroom to conduct small group learning including early literacy and math skills and help them attain to the general education material. We also review and learn important social-emotional learning topics.
Our classroom is a place where we learn together!
Your help will help us remove any hinderances to having a learning environment. There will be less or no interruptions for simple things like needing tissues or having to share pencils. Each student will have the materials they need to begin work independently. Additionally, we will have the materials to foster social emotional skills like self-calming strategies, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills.
Finally, the project includes books that reflect the demographic of students I teach so that students can see themselves reflected in their classroom materials and role models!
