My Project

A classroom where students can be cozy reading library book, feel successful with organization, as well as feel a sense a ownership in a clean environment they created, that is my goal for the upcoming school year. I have observed over the years that students are more successful when the classroom is a safe, clean and comfortable space. I want to continue to foster a love of read by creating a cozy and comfortable space for silent reading time with a rug. My students embrace D.E.A.R days at school, where we drop everything we are working on, choose a good book or two and then cozy up on pillows and blankets to read. My students deserve a cozy, inviting and warm space to read books anytime of the year. I would also like a place for my students to gather and listen to stories and other read a louds. A rug would create this kind of space for my students. I also love that my students love to help clean and organize. I have also noticed that over the course this past year kids LOVE to organize and clean their classroom. I want to give them supplies like a vacuum and staking cart to help them take ownership and pride in a tidy and organized learning environment.
