Our classroom is a place full of opportunities. Our students come in each day not knowing where their learning will take them. They are eager to learn. With this technology, not only can we continue exploring the world through books, but we can explore through the digital world.
Our class loves technology.
It engages them, it excites them, and it makes their learning current. They love playing math games, they love reading digitally, and they especially love writing digitally. Their favorite special class (gym, art etc.) is technology. They say that in technology they feel free and get to try new and amazing things. I have expressed to my students that a passion of mine is learning new technology tricks. It's a way I continue to grow and learn as an adult. In order to effectively facilitate digital instruction, a new computer is needed.
My Project
Teachers want to give everything to their students. We want to make the most out of every minute, every day. In schools today, every minute is crucially important. Teachers have many, many standards to teach across all subject areas. Every single thing we do as teachers feels important, yet the number of minutes of school we have each week, never feels like enough. Because of this, when technology lags, or when we have to restart the computers, or log in and log out because of dated technology, it feels more frustrating than ever.
We so badly want to give every minute to our students.
