Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
By integrating podcasting into the curriculum, students with disabilities can further develop their communication, creativity, and technical skills. They can explore various forms of storytelling, engage in collaborative projects, and share their unique perspectives with a wider audience.
The idea here is that podcasting can empower them to advocate for themselves and others, promoting inclusivity and diversity in the media landscape through the process of creating a podcast that fosters self-confidence, encourages self-expression, and promotes critical thinking on a safe platform for their voices to be heard.
Through podcasting, students with disabilities can achieve numerous learning outcomes. They can enhance their language and literacy skills, improve their digital literacy, develop their research and interview techniques, and refine their presentation and public speaking abilities.
By supporting our podcasting studio, donors will directly contribute to the enrichment of our students' educational experiences. The integration of iPads, keyboards, and podcasting tools will enable students with disabilities to unleash their potential, amplify their voices, and shape a more inclusive and empowering future.
