A Virtual Learning Environment

My Students

Our school is a public PreK-8th grade school with a population of five hundred students. We're located in an urban area. All of our students are considered at-risk and they all receive free lunch. We also have five, special needs classes in our building

While the area around the school is filled with vacant lots, abandoned homes, buildings and cars, our students enter the building ready and eager to learn.

Most of them encounter challenges with having basic needs in life, but many do not succumb to feelings of hopelessness nor anger. Instead, they try their best in all that they do.

My Project

The student desks will allow my special needs students to sit up straight and actively engage in the lessons. This will also, allow them to move away from their siblings and sit in another location in the house so, they can focus more on what the lessons is about without distractions.

I have 5 students who need to create a learning environment in order to be successful working virtually at home.

These students are currently sitting on the floor, sitting on a bed or sitting at a table with other siblings that's using devices to learn with a high volume of distracting noise in the background.
