My students need ways to share their creativity with their classmates and families with a printer and ink, cubby organizers, and modeling clay.

My Students

My PreK scholars are amazing! The are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.

As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement and to become future leaders through a collaborative system of support" (Our School's Mission Statement).

My Project

I am asking for a variety of materials that I know will help myself as the teacher, and also my scholars. I would like to have a classroom printer to print artwork and photos taken by myself and my scholars. The wireless printer will allow easy printing from my computer, classroom iPads, and/or my phone. By doing this, my scholars will be able to easily share their ideas with classmates and their families.

My goal is to teach responsibility and organizational skills using a cubbie system.

Each scholar will have their own cubbie slot to hold items to take home. I will teach my scholars to use the cubbies by putting in work they would like to bring home as well as items I send home. Each week my scholars will be responsible for gathering their own materials and putting them in their "Friday Folders".

My scholars are very creative. They enjoy art and using new art materials. I wanted to provide them with the opportunity to work with modeling clay. The modeling clay air dries (no kiln or oven needed), and then the scholars will be able to paint their masterpieces.
