This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school everyday excited to learn! They are inquisitive about the world around them. We strive to broaden their horizons and challenge their minds. We face many obstacles in our ICT classroom, from lack of classroom resources to wishing for those extra materials, that would take us to the next level in our educational journey, but we come together as a caring and responsible community, always mindful to respect each other.
We celebrate our differences while we learn and grow together.
My Project
My students are tiny people first! I am requesting a Valuable Library: a library through which I will be able to implement Character Education. It is imperative that my students be involved in meaningful discussion and reflection that help them better understand and apply core values such as: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Character Education includes teaching students different traits such as initiative, perseverance, empathy and growth mindset.
Lessons focus on self-control, conflict resolution and giving back.
This Valuable Library will ultimately help shape the character of my students and teach them to become successful and contributing members of not only the school community but also the community in which the students live. Please help my students build both character and confidence through this project!
