This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently have 25 six- and seven-year-old students in my classroom. I am teaching first graders in a Title I school, located in a high poverty and high crime area of Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have three special education students and two ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom. Several of the students in my classroom have an in-class social worker.

My Project

My students love to clean our classroom. We need a good vacuum to keep our carpet and floor free from dirt and crumbs.

My students taking turns cleaning our room everyday.

We currently have a non working vacuum and some brooms. We would love to get a vacuum that would pick up food crumbs. My students eat breakfast and an afternoon snack in our classroom everyday. The muffins, pretzels and crackers seem to end up on the floor on a daily basis. Please help to get my first graders a good vacuum and bags to go with it to make our room beautiful.
