A Trinket to Remember and Remind Students of their Accomplishments!
Help me give my students that are graduating from middle school with art awards; an art key chain to remind them what they have accomplished in art class during 3 years.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In the next 5 weeks, 8th grade students will be taking the next step in their education going to high school. 26 students were chosen for their excellence in art and will receive certificates at the 8th grade award ceremony our school has every year. With this DonorsChoose fund students will get each get a key chain or necklace and on the key chain is a poem and an art trinket. The girls will get a necklace. The boys will get a key chain.
This will mean a lot to them and they will have a reminder of what they have accomplished and what they can accomplish in the future at high school next year.
The climate and environment at this school is supporting all genders, races and choices. This group of students is representative of all: inclusive not exclusive, like art.
