My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 15 wonderful 4th graders this year! Our motto: we put our hearts in all that we do. This is seen through staff members, students, and families. I have a diverse group of students with unique backgrounds and needs.

Even though we all have different backgrounds, we all have high expectations for ourselves.

My students want to do the best in all that they do. They know that by doing this, their futures will be bright and strong. I am honored to give them the tools and resources they need to meet these expectations!

My Project

I have always been a big supporter of using technology in the classroom. My school district is working hard to make sure that all students have access to technology. I am currently sharing 25 Chromebooks with my 3 teammates. This means that technology is not always available. At the beginning of the school year, I decided to start a project for 2 iPads. My project was funded and we have loved having access to them all day!

Since the addition of iPads, I have noticed a significant increase in engagement and excitement to learn through the use of technology!

I want to provide as much access to technology as I can so that all of my students can be successful. My students will use the iPads to access audiobooks, math programs, science apps, and use setting such as text prediction and text-to-speech while writing. It is my job to provide all of my students with the tools that they need in order to learn and grow to their full potential. By adding these tools in my classroom all day, I know that my students will continue to show an increase in their learning.
