My Students
The students in my classroom receive all of their instruction, assignments, and feedback online. They do three to four hours of Zoom calls whole group, and are online daily for an additional 30 minutes of small group support.
The students receive assignments online and turn in everything digitally.
Feedback and communication is also done through a secure digital platform.
My Project
I have maximized what I can do instructionally with the resources I have and what has been provided by the district. There is more we can do with the distance learning experience and a touchscreen computer is a big part of that.
Each day I try to model and demonstrate mathematical concepts and ELA goals, online.
There is a limit to what I can do and this project is about ending that. Although I have a district-issued PC, it is old, is slow to load applications, and the students have a very difficult time reading what I try to express with the touchscreen.
Funding the Lenovo Yoga will allow for a stronger digital experience.
